Unflanged Bathroom Rim Latch with Emergency Release- Image is of the 4" Solid brass and hand-made by English craftsmen, each latch is perfectly precise and made using time honoured techniques. The practical inclusion of an emergency release gives easy access to the toilet or bathroom etc. in the event of an emergency. This release consists of a neat slot (that suits a coin or a screwdriver) on the outside of the room and this is strongly recommended. Available in several sizes and many many finishes, please enquire with any special requirements. We can even supply these fabulous latches in two silver finishes. In addition, our workshop can offer bespoke re-finishing of the Polished Brass Unlacquered (usually stocked) and produce a custom antiqued or distressed finish; just for you. Internally, the latch is assembled utilising a spring made from phosphor bronze for longevity and similarly all the internal parts resist wear and corrosion. Supplied with the necessary fixing screws. We stock a huge number of door knob styles to suit, in many finishes including Bakelite (The Black Bakelite can look particularly good with Polished Chrome or Polished Nickel finished rim latches). Door knobs or ring handles are not included in the price of the latch.
