Ape City Set 1-4

Charles Marshall writes a far livelier and more interesting version of the apes in this mini-series than he does in the parent title. Mixing monkey gangsters, ninja apes, heavily armed human killers, and a fair amount of humor, Marshall is forced to write with a beginning, middle, and end, and does so with aplomb. The thrust of the plot is the chase for a crystal which powers the humans’ craft, but also offers unlimited energy for the apes.
